Ministry of Finance directs 12 government officers to retire over allegations of corruption, sexual abuse

New Delhi, June 11 (IBNS):  Twelve senior government officers have been directed by the  Centre to retire under Rule 56 of the General Financial Rules (GFRs) on MOnday, media reports said.

The direction was reportedly given to the officers by the Ministry of Finance.

Sources told News18 some of these officers were found guilty of corruption, having illegal and disproportionate assets and sexual harassment.

The government officials include a chief commissioner, principal commissioners and commissioner of the Income Tax Department, media reports said.
