CBI files case against officials of IAF, Defence Ministry, Swiss firm and arms dealer over alleged kickbacks
New Delhi, June 22 (IBNS): The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has filed a case against unknown officials of the Indian Air Force (IAF), Defence Ministry, a Swiss firm and arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari over alleged kickbacks of Rs. 339 crore in the procurement of 75 basic trainer aircraft in 2009, media reports said.
The case has been filed against Swiss-based plane-maker Pilatus Aircraft Ltd.
Bhandari's properties were also raided by the investigating agency.
Bhandari has already been investigated for allegedly buying a proxy-owned house for businessman and Congress president Rahul Gandhi's brother-in-law Robert Vadra.
The probe officials are also investigating the kind of service Bhandari's company had provided to the Swiss firm.
