Opposition trying to mislead public over migration issue: Yogi

Saharanpur, Jun 30 (UNI): Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has alleged that Opposition parties were misleading the public on issues such as migration and making baseless allegations.

Addressing the media here on Sunday, CM Yogi said the state government would resolve issues and grievances of public sincerely and positive results of initiatives of government were coming out. He claimed the UP government was committed to ensure development of every sector including, farmers, traders and youth.

CM Yogi said that Rs 70,000 crore dues of sugarcane farmers were cleared in two years of the BJP government regime and about 70 per cent payments of this sugarcane crushing season were cleared recently while remaining dues will be cleared till August 31.

Speaking about Prime Minister Awas scheme, CM Yogi said that 24 lakh houses were completed till date and government was trying to achieve target within given time frame. He alleged that only 63,000 houses were approved in previous Samajwadi Party (SP) government while over 50,000 houses were getting completed in only Saharanpur division in BJP government regime.

He said that government has approved demand of university in Saharanpur and instructions were given to district administration to initiate the process. He said that concern officers were instructed to improve law and order in the area and actions would be taken against lame officials.
