Goa CM, ministers, leaders condole demise of former state minister Dr Wilfred Mesquita

Panaji, Jul 9 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, his cabinet colleagues and prominent leaders of the state expressed condolence over demised of former state minister Dr Wilfred Mesquita.

In a tweet, the Chief Minister said,'Deeply saddened by the passing away of Dr. Wilfred Mesquita, former Cabinet Minister of Goa. Dr. Mesquita has served the people and state of Goa in various capacities. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.'

Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said,'Heartbroken to hear about the passing away of my dear friend and Ex Vasco MLA, Mr. Wilfred Mesquita, who was very dear to me. May your soul rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to his family in their time of grief.'

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sardesai said,'Condolences to the family members of Dr Wilfred Mesquita( Ex Minister & Former NRI Commissioner) . #RIP'

Former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat said,'Deeply saddened by the sad demise of my former legislative colleague Dr. Wilfred Menezes Mesquita. My condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.'

Congress spokesperson Jitendra Deshprabhu said, 'Deeply saddened by the demise of my former collegue in GOA legislature Dr. Wilfred Misquita, Ex Revenue minister in GOA Govt. May his soul rest in peace.'

Former Goa Minister and leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Dr Wilfred Mesquita passed away at a hopspital in Mumbai on Monday. He was 70 and undergoing treatment at a hospital in Mumbai.
