New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday said the government at the centre will identify all intruders from every corner of India and deport them following international laws.

He told the Rajya Sabha to a a supplementary question by Samajwadi Party member Javed Ali Khan on whether the National Register of Citizens or NRC will be implemented in other states: "The NRC which is currently implemented in Assam is part of the Assam Award. This is also part of the declaration based on which our government has been chosen."

"We will identify all the intruders living on the country from every inch of land, we will identify them and get them out of the country based on international law," he said.

On the genuine names left out of the NRC, Shah said, "The government has requested the (Supreme) court to extend the time for this purpose".

"There may be some delay but the NRC will be implemented  without any fault," he said, assuring that no genuine citizen will be left out.
