Puducherry: Construction worker electrocuted

Puducherry, Jul 20 (UNI) A 64-year-old construction worker was electrocuted at Ellapillaichavady here on Friday evening.

According to sources, Durai,hailing from Villippuram District of Tamil Nadu was trying to place a hole in a wall with an iron tool while renovating an old building.
His tool pierced the electric wire concealed in the wall and was electrocuted.

The other workers rushed him to the Kadirgamam Medical College Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

Reddiyarpalayam police are investigating.
