Fifteen-year-old girl gang raped for three days in Assam's Karimganj

Guwahati, July 27 (IBNS) : A 15-year-old minor girl was gang raped for three days in Assam’s Karimganj district and she is now admitted in hospital in critical condition.

According to the reports, the incident took place at Badarpur area in Karimganj district.

The incident came to light after locals recovered the victim girl from the Badarpur Town Committee’s verandah and admitted her at Karimganj civil hospital.

The family members of the victim girl said that, a youth had forcefully taken the girl in front of her home in a vehicle and took her to Silchar, where the he and his friends raped her.

The youth and  his friends had raped the minor girl for three days and they left her the Badarpur Town Committee’s verandah on Friday evening.

Karimganj district police have registered a case and started investigation to nab the culprits.

Karimganj district Superintendent of Police (SP) Manabendra Debroy said that, police have already indentified the culprits and will arrest them short time.

“We have identified the culprits and will arrest them within short time. The victim girl was admitted in serious condition and hope she will recover soon. The victim girl has given her statement,” the police official said.
