No restriction in Islam to say ‘Jai Shree Ram’, says Assam BJP leader
Guwahati, July 29 (IBNS) : Amid reports of mob lynching and Muslims being forced to chant ‘Jai Shree Ram’ in Assam and other parts of the country, Assam BJP unit spokesperson and Assam Minorities Development Board chairperson Syed Muminul Aowal said that, there is no restriction in Islam to say ‘Jai Shree Ram’.
The Assam BJP leader said that, Muslims can say ‘Jai Shree Ram’ and there is no restriction in Islam.
“Bhagwan Shree Ram Chandra is the god for the people of Sanatan religion. People of different religions are living in India like as Christian, Buddhist, Jain, Sikh, Islam and Shree Ram Chandra was a great person for everyone. He was a great king, good governor. There is not a sin to chant Jai for a great person. Ram Chandra is the epitome of the ideal king and Ram Rajya is the ideal kingdom. There is no harm in Muslims for chanting ‘Jai Shree Ram’,” Muminul Aowal said.
He further said that, “we can say ‘Jai Shree Ram’, can say ‘Jai Hazrat Muhammad’, ‘Jai Shankardev’ and there is no restriction in Islam.”
“A section of people are trying to create intolerance by adding religious colour to say of ‘Jai Shree Ram’. Cheering for great people is not a religious crime,” the Assam BJP leader said.
