West Bengal Congress launches #DidiKeBolchi campaign
Kolkata, Aug 15 (IBNS): Days after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee launched #DidiKeBolo campaign, West Bengal Congress on Wednesday launched #DidiKeBolchi campaign to raise a few issues before the head of the state.
Through the campaign, the Congress has raised seven questions and directed them to the Chief Minister.
The state Congress has asked whether Mamata will rescue their party offices which were captured by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), will she accept her sin of taking away Congress' elected members and set all arrested Congress leaders free and accept the fact that she was the one who brought the saffron party in West Bengal.
Also the grand old party has asked whether the Mamata administration will take strict action against the Trinamool Congress workers who had taken cut money, punish the anti-socials who had assaulted doctors and government officials and will she pass all important bills in the Legislative Assembly without taking the views of the BJP?
Speaking at the state headquarters here, West Bengal Congress president Somen Mitra said, "Didi is the Chief Minister of West Bengal so we all have the right to tell her about our problems. We all expect her to listen to us and solve our problems. She is the head of the state."
Along with the #DidiKeBolo campaign, Mamata has announced a telephone number and asked people to address their problems to the Chief Minister. The campaign was started after the Trinamool suffered a major blow from the BJP in the Lok Sabha polls.
Also Mitra on Wednesday divulged that his party is going to have a tie-up with the Left in three upcoming by-elections which will be held in Kaliaganj, Karimpur and Kharagpur. While the Left will contest from Kharagpur, the Congress will field its candidates in the rest two seats.
