The RPF jawan Pawan Kumar Singh killed Ashok Ram (56), his wife Lilawati Devi (52) and their pregnant daughter Meena Devi (30).

Two others sustained serious injuries in the incident, which included the couple's daughter Suman and son Sanjay, who have been sent to RIMS Ranchi for treatment.

The deceased Ashok Ram used to work as a potter at Bhurkunda Railway Station while his wife Lilawati Devi was a fourth grade staff at the Ramgarh DC office.
