Balakot tweet: Pakistan demands Indian actress Priyanka Chopra be 'removed' as UN goodwill ambassador
Los Angeles/Islamabad/Mumbai, Aug 21 (IBNS): Days after Priyanka Chopra gracefully silenced a woman who accused that she was encouraging 'nuclear war' with Pakistan, the country's Federal Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari has written a letter to UNICEF and urged it to remove the Indian actress as its goodwill ambassador for peace.
Sharing a copy of the letter on the social media, Mazari tweeted: "Sent letter to UNICEF chief regarding UN Goodwill Ambassador for Peace Ms Chopra."

In the letter, the minister wrote: "Ms Chopra has publicly endorsed Indian government position on Kashmir and also supported the nuclear threat issued to Pakistan by the Indian Defence Minister. All this goes completely against the principles of peace and goodwill that Ms. Chopra is supposed to uphold as an UN Goodwill Ambassador for Peace.”
"Unless she is removed immediately, the very idea of an UN Goodwill Ambassador for Peace becomes a mockery globally," the minister said.
In her perfect elegant style, actress Priyanka Chopra recently gave a suitable answer to silence a woman who accused that she was encouraging 'nuclear war' with Pakistan.
According to media reports, Priyanka was asked this question when she was interacting with the media at the Beautycon Festival Los Angeles 2019.

A woman could be seen in the video telling Priyanka: "You are United Nations Goodwill ambassador for peace and you are encouraging nuclear war in Pakistan. There is no way you are in this ...As a Pakistani, millions of people, like,me, have supported you in your business."
Priyanka said: "I have many, many friends from Pakistan and I am from India."
She further said, "War is not something I’m really fond of but I am patriotic, so I’m sorry if I hurt sentiments to people who do love me and have loved me."
The context of the question dates back to the days of Balakot strike in February 2019 when the Quantico star had come out in support of the Indian Air Force, media reports said.
She had tweeted: "Jai Hind'.
Priyanka Chopra is not only a popular Bollywood heroine, but she also gained fame with her appearance in American TV series Quantico.
She made her Hollywood debut in 2017 with the movie Baywatch.
Priyanka Chopra is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.
