New Delhi, Aug 28 (IBNS): Pavan Kapoor has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the United Arab Emirates, officials said.
"He is expected to take up the assignment shortly," the Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement.
He is a 1990 cadre IFS officer.
He will replace Navdeep Singh Suri.
Suri tweeted: "Absolutely delighted over the appointment of my dear friend and colleague Amb. Pavan Kapoor as India's next ambassador to UAE. All the very best for taking this rapidly growing relationship to new heights. And yes, you will be busy!."
