New Delhi: The victim in the Unnao rape case has recently said accused expelled Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Sengar had tried to kill her through the car-truck crash, which took place in July, media reports said.

In an interview with a leading daily, the victim, who is presently undergoing treatment in Delhi AIIMS, has alleged that she was receiving death threats from Sengar's aides while going to the court for hearings of the case before the car-truck accident.

The rape survivor has also said she was pressurised by Sengar's aides to withdraw her case.

The survivor and a lawyer were critically injured while her mother and aunt were killed when their car was hit by the truck at Sultanpur Khera roundabout in the district.

The victims were going on a car to meet their relative at Rae Bareli jail when it was hit by a truck coming from opposite direction under Gurubakshganj police station area on Rae Bareli-Banda highway.

The people in the car were going to Rae Bareli jail, where the gang rape victim's uncle is lodged.

In the wake of the accident, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) transferred the case from Uttar Pradesh to New Delhi and directed the CBI to complete the case within 45 days since its order.
