Rahul Gandhi attacks Modi govt, tweets congrats on 100 days of No Vikas

New Delhi, Sep 8 (IBNS) In a sarcastic attack at the Narendra Modi government on its celebrating completion of 100 days in power in this new term, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday congratulated the government on '100 Days of No Vikas' (100 days of no development ).

Rahul Gandhi tweeted: "Congratulations to the Modi Govt on #100DaysNoVikas, the continued subversion of democracy, a firmer stranglehold on a submissive media to drown out criticism and a glaring lack of leadership, direction & plans where it’s needed the most - to turnaround our ravaged economy."

The Narendra Modi government is on Sunday celebrating 100 days of its completion with a series of events with a press conference being held in the capital city.

However, the opposition, including the Congress,, has criticised the government on the mishandling of the economy and acting with a feeling of vendetta against political opponents.

Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Sunday alleged that the ruling BJP regime has taken revenge only following the politics of vanity and discrimination during the first 100 days of its government.

The BJP government has even ignored the reality in the first 100 days of its government at the Centre, Congress leader Kapil Sibal said while addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here.

The Congress leader taunted that the greatest achievement of the Narendra Modi government in its first 100 days is that the party has taken revenge from its political opponents. Governmental organisations such as the Enforcement Directorate, the Income Tax Department and the Central Bureau of Investigation have been heavily misused.

The BJP, however, on Sunday said the Modi 2.0 is the perhaps only regime so far who has taken numerous bold and fast decisions for development of economy, uplift of poor, strengthening national security and bringing transparency in any governance that too in just 100 days.

“In first 100 days, the Modi government has taken decisions of historic importance. The preparations for these decisions began before the elections and path breaking targets were set for the first 100 days,” Union Minister Prakash Javadekar told a press conference on completion of 100 days of the Narendra Modi government.
