Amit Shah, Prakash Javadekar greet Lata Mangeshkar on her birthday
New Delhi, Sept 28 (UNI): Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javadekar, and National Commission for Women (NCW) chief Rekha Sharma on Saturday wished Bollywood's nightingale Lata Mangeshkar on her 90th birthday.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Shah said,'Bharat Ratna Swar Kokila Lata Didi has not only enchanted all the Indians with her sweet voice and mildness, but also made India proud in the entire world. Today, on her birthday, I wish God to give her good health and long life. @mangeshkarlata'.
Javadekar said,'Golden Voice of India, and dear to all of us,#BharatRatna @mangeshkarlata Happy birthday to her! Lata didi's melodious and soulful tones have given all of us moments of joy in this stressful life! I wish God to give you a healthy and long life! #LataMangeshkar'.
Sharma said,'Happy Birthday to Legendary Singer Bharat Ratna @mangeshkarlata Didi. May God bless Lata didi with a long and healthy life.'

Lata Mangeshkar has recorded songs in over a thousand Hindi films and has sung songs in over 36 regional Indian languages and foreign languages, though primarily in Marathi, Hindi, and Bengali.
The Dadasaheb Phalke Award was bestowed on her in 1989 by the Government. In 2001, in recognition of her contributions to the nation, she was awarded the Bharat Ratna.
