Police nab Bangladeshi drug peddler with drugs in Assam's Cachar district

Guwahati: Police nabbed a Bangladeshi drug peddler along with drugs in Assam's Cachar district on Monday.

Cachar district Superintendent of Police Mugdhajyoti Mahanta said that, based on intelligence input, Officer-in-Charge of Udharband police station along with staff had launched operation at Udharband area and apprehended a Bangladeshi national near Japirband area.

The nabbed person was identified as Samsul Alom s/o Makaddas Ali Laskor of Afsarbad coloney under Goraghat police station of Dinajpur district of Bangladesh.

During search all total 34 numbers tube containing white powder and also one packet containing 3.30 gm white powder suspected to be heroin recovered from his possession.

Later on co-accuseds Sahanur Hussain Borbhuya s/o Ajijur Rahman Borbhuya of Dhanehori part 1 under Sonai police station and Sirajul Haque Laskor s/o Rouson Ali Laskor of Nutun Ramnagar were apprehanded from Nagatilla area with the help of OC Silchar police station and seized cash Rs 39000 from the possession of accused Sirajul Haque Laskar as led  by accused Samsul Alom.
