Will never allow Bharat to be Hindu Rashtra: Asaduddin Owaisi

Thane, Oct 15 (UNI) AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has strongly asserted that Bharat is not Hindu Rashtra and that his party will never let it happen.

Addressing an election rally for his party candidate on Monday night, Owaisi said, ''Your ideology is the same as that of RSS. You want to paint the entire Hindustan in one colour, whereas for us, it is multi-coloured, which is the beauty of Hindustan. Bharat is not a Hindu Rashtra and we will never allow it to become one,'' he said.

It is Bharat because of secularism and pluralism. In the entire world, there is no other place like it, he added.

The AIMIM chief was responding to RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat's statement that Yahudhis were attacked and they came down to India and that Muslims can only be happy in India, because it is a Hindu Rashtra.

''I want to tell some responsible persons of RSS that if you want to measure the index of our happiness or sorrow, you should see what the Constitution has given us'', he said.

He also said that if his party has established itself in Aurangabad, it is on account of their efforts and soon, they will spread to other parts of the state.

''You cannot stop us, as we live in a democratic country,'' he said.

The present government, he said, was celebrating the passage of the 'Triple Talaq Bill,' without realising the woes of the Muslims.

''We are the first to claim reservations and should get it,'' he asserted.
