Indian army-police apprehend three newly recruited NDFB cadres along Indo-Bhutan border, recovered arms-ammu
Guwahati, Oct 16 : Security forces had apprehended three youths, who were on the way to join the National Democratic Front of Bodoland – G Bidai-Batha faction from Assam’s Kokrajhar district along Indo-Bhutan border on Tuesday.
Based on intelligence input about presence of a terrorist group at Bamba area of Ripu reserve forest area along the Indo-Bhutan border, a joint team of Indian army, CRPF Cobra battalion and Kokrajhar district police had launched operation at the remote area.
The security personnel had apprehended three youths while they were on their way to join the outfit group led by G Bidai-Batha.
The apprehended cadres were identified as 27-year-old Golap Mushahary, 19-year-old Birswn Narzary and 38-year-old Monjit Mushahary.
Anurag Agarwala, IGP of Bodoland Territorial Districts Area (BTAD) said that, one had managed to run away under the cover of darkness.
Security personnel had recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition including one 7.65 mm pistol, six magazines, six rounds live ammunition, one dao, 40 kg rice and four tarpaulin from the area.
The top Assam cop further said that, security forces are engaged to crack down the outfit camps and module.
It is to be mentioned that, security forces had apprehended six NDFB terrorists in the Lower Assam district in past a week.
