Mexico deports 311 Indian illegal immigrants trying to enter US
Mexico/New Delhi: Mexico has deported over 300 Indian illegal immigrants, who were on their way to the US.
The illegal immigrants landed in New Delhi on Friday morning in a chartered plane accompanied by federal immigration agents and Mexico's National Guard.
Mexico’s National Migration Institute (INM) called the transatlantic deportation an unprecedented one.

A total of 310 men and one woman were deported who were allegedly going to enter the USA through jungles.
According to reports, they were presented to the immigration authorities in the Mexican states of Oaxaca, Baja California, Veracruz, Chiapas, Sonora, Mexico City, Durango and Tabasco.
The crackdown on illegal immigrants is Mexico's effort to avert tariffs after US President Donald Trump threatened measures if Mexico did not effective steps to stop the flow of immigrants through its border.
The United States was the quick to react on the development.
Mark Morgan, the acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection tweeted: "Mexico and @INAMI_mx showing their commitment to secure borders and orderly, legal migration through the unprecedented repatriation of 311 Indian nationals to India on Wednesday night. Commissioner Garduno (
