Nigerian held at IGI Airport for living in India on expired VISA

New Delhi/UNI: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on Thursday nabbed a Nigerian at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport here for staying in India on expired Visa, an official release said.

The nabbed foreigner identified as Olamilekan Mohammed Akanbi Ojora was travelling to Goa by a scheduled airlines and he was intercepted and enquired by the CISF surveillance and intelligence team when they found his activities suspicious at the check in area of Terminal 3.

“On tactfully questioning, it was learnt that he was having an expired VISA. It also came to light that he is a Nigerian celebrity, who had acted in some Bollywood movies," the CISF said.

Immediately, the matter was informed to IB officials, who confirmed that his VISA had expired in the year 2011 and since then he was staying in India illegally, the release added.

Later, he was handed over to IB officials for further legal action in the matter.
