President Kovind, PM Modi greet the people on Diwali

New Delhi/IBNS: President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted the nation on the occasion of Diwali.

In an early-morning tweet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote : "My best wishes to the nation on the occasion of Diwali. May the festival of lights illuminate everyone's life and our country may always remain happy and prosperous."

President Ram Nath Kovind tweeted: "Greetings and best wishes to fellow citizens on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali. Let us on this day try to bring happiness in the lives of those who are less fortunate and needy by lighting the lamp of love, care and sharing #PresidentKovind."
