Mamata Banerjee wants Joint Entrance Examination to be conducted in Bengali
Kolkata/IBNS: Hitting out at the Centre, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee once again on Thursday demanded the conduct of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in Bengali language.
Few days ago, Mamata had hit out the Centre for including only Gujarati, apart from English and Hindi, as a language to conduct JEE and no other regional language.
She had tweeted, "I love Gujarati language. But, why have other regional languages been ignored? Why injustice is being meted out to them? If Gujarati has to be there, then all regional languages including Bengali must be there."

Mamata, who heads West Bengal's ruling party Trinamool Congress, held a meeting with her party MLAs and MPs here.
Setting a road map for her party leaders, the Trinamool chief said she will continue to oppose National Register of Citizens (NRC) which the BJP has said will implement in West Bengal.
Ahead of the crucial verdict on politically-sensitive Ayodhya case, Mamata has urged all people to maintain peace. "As the Prime Minister urged, me too ask all people to maintain peace," she said.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also urged his ministers not to pass any unnecessary comment on the Ayodhya case which pertains to whether Ram Temple can be built in the disputed land of Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya.
Reacting to Shiv Sena's claim of BJP's attempt to poach its MLAs in Maharashtra, the Chief Minister said, "They used to do everywhere."
