Woman activist on way to Sabarimala attacked with pepper sprayÂ
Thiruvananthapuram/IBNS: Women’s rights activist Bindu Ammini, who had entered the Sabarimala Temple with another activist earlier in January, alleged that she was attacked with chilli powder and pepper spray on Tuesday.
She said the incident occurred when she was on her way to hilltop shrine along with activist Trupti Desai.
This is so shocking. Pepper/ chilly spray was used against Bindu Ammini by a protestor near Cochin Commissioner office as she wanted to go to #SabarimalaTemple along with activist Trupti Desai and others.

A video of the incident has gone viral on the social media.
Protesters are reportedly planning to block Trupti Desai's attempt to reach the temple.
Trupti arrived in Kochi airport earlier in the day and decided to leave for Sabarimala Temple by road.
"We'll visit Sabarimala temple today on Constitution Day. Neither state government nor police can stop us from visiting the temple. Whether we get security or not we will visit the temple today," Trupti Desai was quoted as saying by NDTV.
Police have not provided them with any security cover but a senior official said they were tracking their vehicles, reported Hindustan Times.
The activists are reportedly now present inside the top police officer's office in Kochi.
Kerala witnessed violence and tension after two women entered the Sabarimala temple in Kerala where entry of menstruating women was banned until the Supreme Court allowed it last year.
On Sept 28 last year, a five-judge bench of the Supreme Court had lifted the ban on women's entry into the Sabarimala temple declaring the relevant rules as unconstitutional.
