New Delhi/UNI: Asserting that he stood by his statement against Pragya Thakur, calling her a ‘terrorist’, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday said that he was ready to face any action in this regard.

Talking to reporters after BJP called for action against him for his remarks against Pragya Thakur, Rahul said,’’I stand by my statement. What I have written on twitter, I stand by it.’’

On the BJP calling for action against him for his remarks, Rahul said,’’that’s ok. There is no problem,. Whatever they want to do. I will welcome.’’

On Pragya Thakur’s remarks on Godse, Rahul said,’’Pragya Thakur says what she believed in. I do not agree with her but she believes in it.’’

‘’Godse also used violence . She also believes in violence,’’Rahul said.

Rahul’s remarks came after Pragya Thakur tendered an apology for her remarks in the Lok Sabha . She, however, said that her remarks have been twisted.

Taking to twitter on Thursday, Rahul had said,’’terrorist Pragya calls terrorist Godse, a patriot. A sad day in the history of India's Parliament.’’
