Mumbai/IBNS: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will face the floor test in the state assembly on Saturday.

Thackeray will take oath as the Chief Minister on Thursday.

The ideologically different Shiv Sena, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress have come together to form the government as the alliance termed as Maha Vikas Aghadi has 154 seats in total.

While the Sena has won 56 seats, the NCP and Congress have 54 and 44 seats respectively. Few Independents have also extended their support to the Aghadi.

NCP leader Dilip Walse Patil will be the Pro-Tem Speaker in the special assembly session where the floor test will take place.

Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari had asked Uddhav to prove majority by Tuesday.
