India-US 2+2 dialogue on Dec 18

New Delhi/IBNS: The second edition of India-US 2+2 ministerial dialogue will be held on Dec 18 next, Ministry of External Affairs(MEA) Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said here today.

Addressing a press conference here, MEA Spokesperson Kumar said the Indian delegation will be led by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

"They will meet their US counterparts for a comprehensive review of cross-cutting foreign policies, defence and security issues in our relationship. In addition, both sides will hold discussions on salient global and regional issues," he said.

"The India-US 2+2 ministerial dialogue was initiated in Sep 2018 in order to provide a positive forward-looking vision for the India-US strategic partnership and promote synergy in our diplomatic and security efforts," he stated.

"Since the inaugural edition of the 2+2dialogue. India-relation has further expanded and the upcoming session will focus on these developments and discuss future actions," he added.
