Sikh body alleges their community facing expulsion from MP villages under Congress, Amit Shah urged to take action
New Delhi/IBNS: The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) president Manjinder Singh Sirsa has accused the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh of patronizing violent protests against the Sikh community in villages of Sheopur district and urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to intervene into the matter.
Sirsa last week posted a video on Twitter and alleged that Sikhs in Karhal Tehsil of Sheopur district were being intimidated and were being forced out of their villages so that their lands could be grabbed.
Sirsa, who is also an MLA of Shiromani Akali Dal, has demanded action against MP CM Kamal Nath and his government for patronizing such violent actions against Sikhs in the state.
Sirsa (who is also national spokesperson of Shiromani Akali Dal) alleged that the Kamal Nath government is patronizing violent protests against the Sikhs in some villages falling in Karhal Tehsil of Sheopur district, reported The New Indian Express.
A DSGMC delegation visited Sheopur last week.
Sirsa tweeted: "DSGMC delegation visits Sheopur district, Karahal Tehsil to meet Sikhs who narrate how they have been harassed and tortured by the local goons while the local administration didn’t take any action. We are ready to fight the battle of justice for them to any extent."
"DSGMC will ensure that @OfficeOfKNath doesn’t succeed in his nefarious designs of taking revenge from Sikhs of Madhya Pradesh," he had said.
Meanwhile reports said Chief Minister Kamal Nath has ordered a probe into the incident.
