BJP organises Human Chain in Ranchito create awareness on CAA
Ranchi/UNI: Under the joint banner of Yuva Morcha and Ranchi Mahanagar committee, the BJP on Monday organised a human chain in the capital city Ranchi in Jharkhand from Kutchury Chowk to Albert Ekka Chowk to create awareness on the Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA, 2019.
Hundreds of people participated in the human chain which also included party MPs Sanjay Seth and Mahesh Poddar and party MLAs including former minister CP Singh, Hatia MLA Naveen Jaiswal, Ranchi mayor Asha Lakra, Deputy mayor Sanjeev Vijayvargyee and state BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo and Deendayal Barnwal.
Speaking on the occasion Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth said that CAA was not meant to take citizenship of the people but was an act to give citizenship to the people and accused the Congress and the left parties of spreading fake rumours and misleading the country.
He said that after scrapping of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, decks are cleared for construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya for which the opposition parties are frustrated.
He said that people want to know why Congress is against CAA.
Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar said that minorities in Pakistan are subjected to severe discrimination and had to face forceful religious conversions, massacres and rapes and even their properties were being forcibly acquired after which they somehow managed to reach India.
However here also they could not get access to basic amenities of life like education, health care and therefore the law has been framed.
Former cabinet minister and Ranchi MLA CP Singh accused the Congress and the Left of indulging in politics of appeasement.
The supporters of Afzal Guru and members of Tukde Tukde Gang want to divide the country but the people have become aware.
He said that left has been whipped out from the country and they have now converted JNU into their safe house.
