Lucknow/UNI: Samajwadi Party (SP) founder Mulayam Singh Yadav here on Saturday said that to make the country strong, it is important to take the issues of farmers, young people and traders seriously.

The comments from the SP chief comes at a time when the country is in-between anti-CAA protest, economic slowdown and agricultural crisis.

Addressing mediapersons in the party office after a long gap, the SP patron said that to make the country stronger, the farmers, youngsters and traders need to be empowered. The farmer needs to be given concession on fertiliser seeds so that he gets the profit out of the crop.

Opportunities of employment and jobs need to be created for the young people, he said, adding that by entering the important apparatus such as PAC, Police and Army, the young people can protect the pride of the country.

The SP leader said that the traders should be able to expand their business in the country and abroad. The produce of the farmers should be brought to the buyers at the right price. These three sections can strengthen the country, he said.

The SP leader averred that many leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party also agree with this fact. The governments should also consider this seriously, he added.

Yadav said that many leaders of the party had become aged and while some of them had been in politics for 8-10 years and now the party's real strength were the youngsters which have stood strongly for their rights and for the party's interest.

The SP will never become old, as it is youngsters' party and will remain one, he stated.

Yadav said that the whole world, including US, was going through a phase of transformation and there was a wave of change in SP as well.
