Delhi CM Kejriwal to compete with 27 candidates
New Delhi/UNI: A total of 672 candidates are in the fray for the Delhi Assembly elections on February 8, of which 593 are male and 79 female candidates.
The maximum 28 candidates are from the New Delhi Assembly constituency from where Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is contesting. There are 26 male and two female candidates.
According to the information received by the office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi on Saturday, 1,528 nominations were filed by 1009 candidates for the election.
There were 821 male and 188 female candidates. On the last day of withdrawal of nominations, 26 candidates withdrew, out of which 22 were male and four female candidates.
Patel Nagar has the least four candidates with three male and one female candidates.
