BJP leaders coming from outside to defeat me and Delhi people: Arvind Kejriwal

New Delhi/IBNS: Steering a massive roadshow in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is bringing its leaders from other states with a sole purpose of defeating him and the people of the Union Territory.

Addressing a crowd, Kejriwal said, "Congress, BJP, JD(U), LJP and several other parties are coming to Delhi to beat your son and people of Delhi. BJP is bringing 200 MPs, 70 Union Ministers, 11 Chief Ministers to defeat the people of Delhi, work for 5 years and defeat your son Kejriwal."

Detailing the works he has done as the Chief Minister and the freebies he offered in last six months after facing a humiliating defeat in the hands of the BJP in 2019 Lok Sabha polls, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener urged people of Delhi not to "tolerate" the "insults" of the saffron party.

"The BJP people will come to Delhi and say our schools, clinics are bad. Do not tolerate such insults," said Kejriwal.

"You will ask the BJP leaders about their own states.... Their fight is against two crore people of Delhi. Do not let them insult you. After detailing the works which have done in Delhi, send them back to their own respective states," the AAP supremo added.

After losing all seven Lok Sabha seats in 2019, the AAP is fighting to get a third term in power.

In 2015 assembly elections, the AAP had registered a landslide by bagging 67 of 70 seats leaving just three for the BJP.

The 2020 Delhi polls are due to be held on Feb 8 while the votes will be counted on 11th of the same month.
