Assam: Man kills his two minor child by throwing them in a pond

Guwahati/IBNS: In a shocking incident, a man killed his two minor son and daughter by throwing them into a pond in Assam’s Darrang district.

The incident took place at Dalgaon Ruhinikash village under Dalgaon police station on Tuesday.

According to the reports, a man identified as Nazrul Islam killed his two minor child following a family dispute.

The deceased minors were identified as 5-year-old Iyadul Hussain and 4-year-old Nur Sahida.

Locals said that, following a family dispute, Nazrul thrown his two minor child into a pond located about 100 meter away from his house.

When other family members were engaged to search the minors, the local villagers found them in the pond.

The locals had immediately admitted the minors at a nearby hospital, but doctors declared them brought to death.

The village headman said that, when they heard the news they were engaged to search the minors.

“When we asked the father of the missing minors, he said that, he killed the minors by throwing them into the pond. Later we found the minors in the pond,” the village headman said.

The accused man Nazrul confessed his crime.

Nazrul said that, he killed his minor son and daughter following a family dispute.

Later police had arrested the accused person.
