New Delhi/IBNS: The man, who opened fire outside Jamia Milia University on Thursday at the CAA protesters marching towards Rajghat, injuring one, posted all his activities live on Facebook ahead of the shooting.

The shooter, identified as Rambhakt Gopal from his Facebook profile, has been arrested and the injured has been rushed to hospital

Gopal was brandishing his gun openly, and his action was preplanned, claimed media reports.

His profile shows that he went viral several times before finally opening fire at the protesters.

Reports said, the man was said to have been angry and shouted “Yeh lo aazadi (here, take your freedom)” while firing at the CAA protesters.

However, he was overpowered by the crowd, and was taken into custody by the police.
