Hindu members stage protest in Pakistan over forced conversion of Hindu girl
Jacobabad/IBNS: Members of the Hindu community recently staged protests here after a court in Pakistan did not record statement of minor Hindu girl Mehak Kumari who was allegedly kidnapped and then converted to Islam forcibly and was married to a man named Ali Raza Machi.
The protest took place in Jacobabad.
The incident remained as another instance of persecution of minorities in the Muslim-dominated South Asian nation.
The protest came as the second hearing in the case of the alleged forced conversion of 15-year-old Mehak Kumari, a Pakistani Hindu girl, was deferred after the judge cancelled it, saying he was unwell, reported Sputnik news agency.
The protesters could be seen holding placards which read: "Mehak Kumari Wants Justice."
