Modi govt hatching conspiracy to demolish rule of Constitution: Kanhaiya Kumar
Darbhanga/UNI: CPI leader and former president of JNSU Kanhaiya Kumar on Tuesday accused the Narendra Modi government of hatching conspiracy to demolish the 'rule of the Constitution' in the country and urged that all attempts should be made by people to thwart this sinister design of present dispensation at the Centre.
Kumar, while addressing a public meeting organised here as part of his 'Jan Gan Man' yatra to protest CAA and NRC, said that the CAA is not in accordance with provisions of the Constitution as it is discriminated on the basis of religion.
"According to the spirit and provisions of the Constitution, no law could be framed which could have a discriminatory effect on the citizens on the basis of religion," he pointed out.
"If no strong effort is made from all corners of the country to stall the implementation of CAA and NRC and force Narendra Modi government to withdraw CAA without any further delay, the country will enter in dark phase," Kumar said adding that present regime was adamant to demolish the country built up as per dreams of father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi, great socialist and veteran freedom fighter Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
"All great works of Mahatma Gandhi and Ambedkar were being washed off by Narendra Modi government," he alleged.
