New Delhi/UNI: Accusing the Union Home Minister and Delhi Police for placing incorrect facts over Jamia violence, the Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Sunday said that the Government must take stern action against the guilty.

Sharing a video clip on tweeter, she said that it is quite evident that the police was beating Jamia students in the library in December whereas the Home Minister Amit Shah and Delhi Police had said that police had not assaulted any student in the Jamia library.

Congress leader further said "Look at how the Delhi Police is indiscriminately beating students studying there at library." A boy is showing the book but the policeman is beating him with sticks. The Home Minister and the Delhi Police officials lied that they did not beat anyone by entering the library…. After watching this video, if action is not taken against violence in Jamia, the Government’s intention will completely come before the country”.

Meanwhile, the Samajwadi Party has also sought the Court's intervention in this matter through a tweet. The party said that the destructive face of the Delhi Police has been being revealed and it condemned the police brutality on innocent students studying in the library on behest of the Home Minister.

The Court should take the cognizance of the matter and take action in this matter, the Samajwadi Party added.
