IAF men save woman's life, airlifts from Kishtwar to Jammu
Jammu/UNI: An Indian Air Force Personnel saved the life of a woman by airlifting her timely from hilly Kishtwar district to Jammu for treatment.
Defence spokesman here said that the Helicopter Unit at Air Force Station Udhampur air evacuated a lady in critical condition with biliary malfunction from Kishtwar.
''Flying in low light conditions in hilly terrain, Wing Commander Shivam Manchanda and Squadron Leader M K Singh landed at Jammu on Night Vision Goggles where Air Force Station Jammu was ready to attend the lady,'' he added.
The spokesman said that the lady was immediately shifted to a hospital in Jammu.
The Daring Dragons executed the mission with extreme professionalism keeping up the highest traditions of the IAF, he added.
