New Delhi/UNI: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence here on Wednesday, in a 'courtesy call' after the assembly polls in Delhi.

"Met Hon’ble Home Minister Sh Amit Shah ji. Had a very good and fruitful meeting. Discussed several issues related to Delhi. Both of us agreed that we will work together for development of Delhi," soon after the meeting, the Delhi chief minister tweeted.

This is also the first meet after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convener took over the reins of the National Capital for the third consecutive term at the Ramlila Maidan,on February 16.

In the 70-member Delhi Assembly polls, the AAP bagged 62 seats while the BJP got eight seats.

Mr Shah, who led the BJP’s aggressive campaign against Mr Kejriwal, had recently admitted that hate speeches by a section of BJP leaders should not have been made ahead of the polls.
