Maharashtra: 4 labourers killed, 3 injured as mound of mud falls on them in Nagpur

Nagpur/UNI: Four women labourers were killed while others three injured when soil caved in near Adasa Patkakhedi village in Saoner tehsil of Nagpur district, police said on Saturday.

The decease, identified as Anusaya Hirdey Tekam (45), Varsha Shamlal Madavi (26), Sunita Kailas (35) and Rampyari Udaysingh Kakoria (18), all the residents of Seoni district of Madhya Pradesh (MP), were engaged in excavation along with 30 others to build a small dam when the incident happened on Friday, police said.

A case of causing death by negligence against contractor Mandeep Choudhary and engineer Jagdish Prasad has been registered by Saoner police station, they added.
