New Delhi/IBNS: A day after the pomp and show in Ahmedabad and hours before the bilateral talks, US President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump on Tuesday received the ceremonial welcome at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here.

The Trumps received the ceremonial welcome in presence of President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

Trump, who is in the middle of his maiden two-day visit to India as the President, will sit down with Prime Minister Modi to hold bilateral talks where the topic of trade relations between the two nations are likely to come up.

The US President has already stated the US will sign a $3 billion defence deal with India.

The two leaders praised each other during the Namaste Trump event in Ahmedabad's Motera Stadium in front of over 1 lakh crowd who had gathered at the venue to witness the event.

“We make the greatest weapons ever made: airplanes, missiles, rockets, ships. We make the best. And we’re dealing now with India. But this includes advanced air defence systems and armed and unarmed aerial vehicles,”  Trump said during his speech.
