We all are one in this battle against COVID-19: PM Modi

New Delhi/IBNS: After interacting with several Radio Jockeys, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday spoke about the country's unity in combating the deadly Novel Coronavirus which has kept the world on edge.

Modi, who never held a press conference after becoming the Prime Minister in 2014, directly interacted with the selected RJs via video calls.

In reply to RJ Anmol's tweet, the Prime Minister said, "We all are one in this battle against COVID-19!"

In another retweet, Modi, who addresses the nation through a radio programme "Mann Ki Baat", said, "These are times when we need to increase positivity and decrease anxiety in people. Radio can make a big difference by doing this."

 
The COVID-19 death toll in India reached 21 as a 69-year old man, who had tested positive for the Novel Coronavirus, died at Kochi Medical College on Saturday.

As per the latest update, 904 people in India have been infected with the virus while the total number of positive cases across the globe has crossed 590,000 including more than 25,000 deaths with the US becoming the first country to register more than 100,000 cases.

India, a country of 1.3 billion people, on Saturday entered the fourth day of the three-week nationwide lockdown which has been called by Prime Minister Modi to stop the spread of the deadly virus.
