Kolkata/UNI: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today greeted the people to mark Good Friday saying it is the day of sacrifice.
In her Twitter account Ms Banerjee said " May all the sufferings we endure bring us peace and happiness in the future." She said to mark the day of sacrifice " To all my Christian brothers
and sisters, have a blessed Good Friday with your family,"
Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during the Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on Friday preceeding Easter Sunday.
