Relaxations to be withdrawn if social-distancing and lockdown norms not followed: Jharkhand CM
Ranchi/UNI: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that if lockdown norms are violated and social-distancing flouted, the relaxation given in some services would be withdrawn.
Chairing a high-level review meeting with the Cabinet Ministers of Congress party in the state, he said the state government was fully aware of the increasing cases of Coronavirus in the state and all precautionary steps to prevent its spread were taken.
Some services were relaxed based on pre-conditioned norms and the officials were asked to make sure that the relaxations were not misused, he said, adding that the impact of the relaxation would be visible in a day or two, after which the government would hold a review and take further decisions.
He said that the state government was concerned about the students of the state trapped in Kota and he has spoken with the Prime Minister over the issue, and opined that the children should remain wherever they feel that they are safe.
They should inform the state government in case of problems.
He also directed private hospitals not to neglect the patients suffering from other diseases.
Hemant said that officials have been asked to keep an eye on the functioning of private hospitals and warned of action if instances of negligence surface.
