Indian Leather Products Association holds awareness campaign on COVID-19
Kolkata/IBNS: Indian Leather Products Association (ILPA) on Saturday held an awareness campaign as well as distributed masks, hand sanitizers and other hygiene products to the local shops and vendors at Shyambazar Market.
The senior officials and members of ILPA were also present at the event.
The customers coming to the local market were also be asked to wear masks, use sanitizer and maintain social distancing in order to prevent the spread of this disease.
The awareness drive has been undertaken to ensure the safety and well-being of vendors in the local markets so that they can take necessary precautions to save themselves and others from this deadly disease.
The activity is being done under the guidelines and instruction given by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises to all the trade bodies.
The Indian Leather Products Association (ILPA), established in 1987, is a premier representative body of manufacturers and exporters of leather and leather products across the country with head office in Kolkata and a Regional Office in Chennai.
ILPA works actively to bring together manufacturer–exporters and merchant-exporters of leather products of India on a common platform to stimulate growth and development of the leather sector. ILPA takes great pride in providing training and skill-development to the underprivileged youth of rural Bengal and helps them with job placements within the industry.
