With this, the total positive cases of COVID-19 in the state was 943 which included active cases 725, cases cured/disharged from government/private hospitals 194 and 24 deaths.

Earlier, a high-level officials team including Mr Somesh Kumar, Mr Mahender Reddy visited Suryapet, Gadwal, Vikarabad districts from morning to evening today to examine the implementation of measures taken to contain Coronavirus at the field level.
Later, the team members came straight to Pragathi Bhavan and briefed the Chief Minister about the situation prevailing there.
In this context, Rao had reviewed the situation at various places in the state including Hyderabad.
He enquired about the treatment given at the Gandhi Hospital.
The Medical officials told the Chief Minister that indications are that there is a possibility of Coronavirus cases getting decreased in the State.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the measures taken by the government are getting good results.
“We have identified all those who have Coronavirus. We have prepared a contact list of those who came in contact with these people and conducted tests on them. With this, we got an estimate on how many people are there in the state with COVID-19 and at what places.
Based on this, we have made containment centres in the state. We have strictly not allowed anyone from the containment centres to go out nor allowed anyone from entering the Centres. We have quarantined all the persons who came in contact with the patients. Due to this we could successfully contain the spread of Coronavirus.
On the other hand, lockdown is being implemented successfully in the State. People are also cooperating. If people continue to extend their support like this and follow the conditions, regulations imposed by lockdown and at the containment centres, we will certainly get a good result,” the Chief Minister said.
