BSF facilitate medical assistance to villagers along Indo-Bangladesh border
Guwahati/IBNS: Putting medical services back in order at a time when the entire nation is under a lockdown to fight the deadly spread of Covid-19 virus, the Guwahati Frontier, BSF has tied up with District medical health centre for medical assistance to border villages who are facing problems, particularly during medical emergencies.
Apart from performing the primary task of safeguarding and defending every single inch of the country Seema Praharies of Guwahati Frontier is also providing assistance to the border populace and standing with every person living in villages located close to Indo-Bangladesh international boundary for their requirement.
Doctors and primary healthcare workers are engaging with the grassroots night and day to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. They are conducting door-to-door visits in affected areas, monitoring quarantined patients, and testing people.
38 BN BSF of Frontier HQ BSF Guwahati approached the district administration of Coochbehar district to provide medical assistance to those villages which are ahead of fence on Indo-Bangladesh border and facing problems, particularly medical requirement for the past few days and had sought the administration’s intervention.
A team of Khurshahat Hospital, Coochbehar district reached at border village Baskotal and medical check-up of 17 Male and 30 Female patients were carried out by medical team.
The medical team also provided medicines to the villagers of Baskotal who are residing ahead of fence on Indo-Bangladesh International Border.
It is worthwhile to mention that border people following the norms laid by the WHO, as well as the Govt of India to counter the COVID-19.
During the medical checked up Seema Praharies also made them aware about the importance of cleanliness and social distancing in the against COVID-19.
The Border Security Force is dedicated for Security of Border of India as well as protection of border population as its guided principle and ethos.
