Ranchi/UNI: A special train carrying students from Kota in Rajasthan arrived at the Hatia railway station in Jharkhand today in the evening.

The train carrying nearly 1,400 students reached Hatia railway station around 1910hrs. The district administration had made elaborate arrangements at the railway station to help the students with their luggage and books.

Apart from security arrangements, buses had been also kept at the station to take the students to their respective districts. Ranchi DC Rai Mahimpat Rey along with SSP Anish Gupta were also present at the station when the train arrived.

As per the pre-planned procedure, students from one compartment at a time came out maintaining social distance. After thermal screening, they were  given food packets, masks and roses at the railway station after which they were taken to the bus allotted for the respective districts and were seated accordingly.

The train also brought back nearly 300 students of Ranchi district.

The administration had prohibited the parents to come at the railway station to pick up their children as the authorities had said they would ensure every child reached  their home properly.

The students of Ranchi were first taken to Paras Hospital for health check up, after which they were stamped "home quarantine". The administration also pasted stickers written "quarantine home" outside the houses of the students who have come back from Kota.

Tomorrow another train will reach Dhanbad from Kota.

A total of 2,833 students of Jharkhand were trapped in Kota of Rajasthan due to lockdown in the wake of Coronavirus outbreak.
