Kolkata/IBNS: #Localkovocalkaro has been trending on ShareChat since Tuesday night after Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a clarion call to promote indigenous products.

Other trending tags on the subject includes #Aatmanirbharbharat, #uselocalproducts, #localisbest and #localseglobal.

ShareChat being the only homegrown social media platform became the voice of Indians who joined the appeal of Modi of promoting local products on the national front to boost India's economy.

Many ShareChat users have made a pledge to use only made in India products.

Users also applauded the government for announcing Rs 20 lakh crore package, meant for economic turnaround of the nation.

ShareChat users also emphasized on the greater need for focussing on quality control, cost control of the Indian manufactured products, to ensure the vision of Modi Govt becomes reality.

In less than 12 hours more than 10,000 UGC Content posts were posted on the platform across 10 regional languages including Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Gujarati, Odia, Assamese and Bengali. Over 10 million views, with more than 100,000 WhatsApp shares, were recorded on the platform in the given period.
