4.6 magnitude earthquake hits Rohtak, tremors felt in Delhi

New Delhi/IBNS: An earthquake measuring 4.6 on the Richter Scale struck near Delhi on Friday.

According to India's National Center for Seismology, the epicentre of the earthquake was near Rohtak in Haryana.

The earthquake hit at 9:08 pm at a depth of 3.3 km, the agency stated.

Strong tremors were felt in and around Delhi, prompting people to rush out of their homes.

Rohtak is around 65.6 km from Delhi.
