Lucknow/UNI: Former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna Advani on Friday recorded his statement before a special SBI court in the Babri Masjid demolition case.

Appearing to record his statement through video-conferencing from New Delhi, Mr Advani, during his around four-hour-long cross examination by the prosecution, denied all charges made against him on the conspiracy to demolish the mosque structure.

The prosecution asked about 1,000 questions to Advani.

The statement was made under section 313 of the CrPC in the court of Special CBI judge S K Yadav.

Mr Advani was the 29th accused of the total 32 to record his statements in the case. Another accused Satish Pradhan would record his statement on July 28 while one of the accused Om Prakash Pandey was absconding.

On Thursday, Dr Murli Manohar Joshi deposed before the special judge through video conferencing from Delhi to record his statement claiming innocence.

Dr Joshi had said he was not present there at the time of the demolition and was politically implicated in the case.
He refuted all charges of the prosecution and even said that the evidences against him were fabricated. He also said that the video presented against him was doctored and that he will present evidence of his innocence later.
